This blog is about how the right networking events can help you find the right job (or jobs!) for you.

About the Author and Why I Started This Blog

I am a recent graduate of the University of Chicago who just got a job in consulting in NYC.  A big part of my job search was attending lots of networking events and being helpful to everyone I met.  I like to share what I learn about networking and job-hunting strategies with my classmates and colleagues, so hopefully this blog will be helpful to you – whether you’re a seasoned executive, new college graduate, or someone going back to the job market after a career break and want to know what’s out there.

Feel free to email me if you know about a cool networking event – I’m kbierce AT gmail dot com.  Although I can’t attend everything, I love learning more about what’s new in NYC (and Boston, Chicago, and Washington, DC where I have friends, etc.).  Also email me or if you’re hosting an event and want my advice on publicity and recruiting, especially reaching the 18-25 demographic.  You can also find me on LinkedIn at www.linkedin.com/in/kbierce and on Twitter at @kbierce.

Although the purpose of this blog is to be about networking events, I plan to occasionally cover fun stuff or non-career-specific events that keep me sane.  In my free time, I work out at the nearest gym, do yoga, meditate, enjoy concerts and salsa dancing, sing with the Young New Yorkers’ Chorus, and volunteer with Acumen Fund.
