2012 Social Enterprise Bootcamp

Save the Date! November 16 - 17, 2012  

The 2012 Social Enteprise Boot Camp is a hands-on event facilitated by leading practitioners and faculty from three of New York's top schools: Columbia SIPA, NYU Wagner and our new partner, SVA Design for Social Innovation.  The Boot Camp is a series of participatory, practical workshops where current and aspiring social entrepreneurs will learn how to sharpen the tools and build the relationships they need to get social ventures off the ground.

What to expect:
  • Network: 160 entrepreneurs and 15+ facilitators from various organizations, all leaders in their respective fields, will attend this year's Boot Camp
  • Engage: Workshops have been designed for social entrepreneurs with a clear idea of what they want to build, as well as those who are still in the process of defining their venture ideas
  • Pitch your idea: The Boot Camp Pitch Competition gives you the opportunity to  raise funds, get feedback and make valuable connections, while  competing for in-kind and cash prizes
  • New York! Spend Friday night networking with entrepreneurs and facilitators at the Pitch Competition in the new Design for Social innovation space, then on Saturday head to NYU's Kimmel Center for a day of hands on learning and skills building.
