I, Leader: A Conference on Leadership, Community Activism, and Social Entrepreneurship

Friday, September 16, 2011 from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM (ET)

New York, NY

Register (only $10) - https://www.eventbrite.com/event/2032568467

entrepreneurshipEDGE, in collaboration with the LGBT Community Center, Do Something, and other nonprofit organizations, is presenting the I, Leader program, which provides sessions on:
- Leadership and the It Gets Better campaign (Shipra Prakash, Founder of entrepreneurshipEDGE, will talk about this)
- Planning a project or movement (Case studies and group discussion)
- Marketing and social media (Naomi, Director of Marketing at Do Something)
- Implementing a campaign (Natasha Dillon, Founder of Guiding Proud, which is a mentoring program that connects LGBT youth with role models)
- And then a networking party next door at Flannery's Bar!
Also, part of the I, Leader program is for participants to work on a campaign to apply skills learned, and this will be done during the networking party.   This is to raise awareness of the It Gets Better campaign and book, which is intended to empower LGBT youth and give them the knowledge that they can live their lives without fear.  And so, participants will use social media skills learned to help generate awareness and support for this campaign.

entrepreneurshipEDGE would like to say special thanks to our supporters and partners:
