Please join us for a NYC Happy Hour to welcome our new Atlas Corps Fellows, and circle back with me to celebrate our continued success in New York. As some of you already know, these talented "Fellows" build organizational capacity, diversify teams, and increase program outputs! We have five incredible nonprofit leaders from Nigeria, Ethiopia, Haiti, Uganda, and Yemen - this is a great chance to learn more about Atlas Corps; I cannot wait for you to meet them.

The event will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, September 13th at Think Coffee Mercer in the basement. There will be wine and cheese served. The address is:

Think Coffee
248 Mercer (between 3rd and 4th Streets)
New York, NY 10003
Please RSVP by September 6th

Atlas Corps (www.atlascorps.org), founded in 2006, seeks organizations to host nonprofit leaders from overseas in a 12 to 18 month direct service fellowship. All Fellows have 2 to 10 years of experience, bachelors or graduate degrees, and are fluent in English. Host Organizations provide a cost share that supports 70% of the overall Fellowship expenses. Atlas Corps handles all logistics including travel, J-1 visa, health care, living stipend, and orientation. Atlas Corps generally partners with nonprofit organizations, though this opportunity is also open to socially-responsible corporations and government agencies. Atlas Corps Fellows serve at organizations such as Ashoka, CentroNia, Grameen Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the UN Foundation and U.S. Peace Corps. In September 2011, Atlas Corps will have engaged 103 emerging nonprofit leaders from 30 countries as Atlas Corps Fellows.
