I just talked to the founder of the New York Entrepreneurs' Business Network, Andrew Ran Wong, yesterday, and I've been to one or two NYEBN events before. It's a great mix of really interesting people doing a variety of entrepreneurial things, and this upcoming event next week should have like, 1000 people show up or something ridiculously awesome.
Happy New Year, and Happy Networking!

After college, I attended a lot of networking events in NYC as part of my job search. Now that I have a job, I still like to share what I’ve learn about great events. I think you'll agree that the "right events get you the right jobs," so I hope this blog is helpful. Email me if you know about a cool networking even: I’m kbierce (at) gmail dot com. Although I can’t attend everything, I love learning more about what’s new. A calendar of NYC events is at the bottom of this page.
This blog is about how the right networking events can help you find the right job (or jobs!) for you.

6PM OBLITERATI: Winter Warm-Up
After the holiday party frenzy, it's time to come home for the holidays. And for Obliterati, "home" means Destination Bar. Though our summer events got a little big for our favorite cozy spot on the corner of 13th and A, it's the perfect place for the more intimate crowd we expect the night before Christmas Eve. By intimate, that does not mean drunken hookups at the bar are allowed--fekkin Ruby devs.

Happy holidays,
Katharine Bierce
It's December, so let’s raise a glass to all the things you learned this year from SheSays: from making apps to creating innovation, from preparing for the jobs of the future to working with technology and from how to tell great stories and present killer pitches. As you can see it's been a packed year. You deserve a drink. We all do. So this month, no speakers, no presentations or homework, just a little seasonal party. So come to Destination Bar on Thursday December 16th at 7PM and you shall be given some ‘toast’ implements. Destination Bar is located at 211 Avenue A (at the corner of 13th Street). Please also raise a glass to the speakers, hosts and the wonderful ladies who helped us this year: Kelly Clark – she does all the tweets Yawen Chen – she updates the site Melissa Andrada – she updates Facebook Meghan and Abby - who film the events And let’s not forget to celebrate YOU! You who come to our events, who design our invites, who did sauna with us at Orchard St when the AC wasn’t working, who went through a whole session while roadworkers deafened us with their jackhammers outside. You who starved through sessions and swapped food and drink for some brain power. Thank you. We love you guys and SheSays would be nothing without you. And we're inviting Girl Develop It to join - so you never know, you may even meet some other cool ladies to do a project with in 2011. So upwards and onwards. Drinks here we come ~ Lots of love from Ale & Lillian from SheSays You are invited to the following event: SHE SAYS //// : HOLIDAY CHEERS - PART 2 /// DEC 16th EVENT Date: Thursday, December 16, 2010 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM (ET) Location: Destination Bar 211 Avenue A New York NY | |||
