Monday, December 6th

6:30PM Glasshouse London to New York Programme

New York Economic Development Corporation and Glasshouse London hosting London's early stage entrepreneurs (including WAYN, Fabricly, OneFineStay, Lindex, Curious Generation) who are visiting NY this week as part of a programme supported by the mayors of both cities.  Drinks and startups, but no crumpets.

7PM Hack and Tell: Round 5 -- "Getting strong now!"

No Startup Pitches, and No Deckware -- We wanna see demos of things working right now (or at least a video of it working, if it involves hardware or something). If it's not finished, that's OK, but it should be demoable. Props and a half if it's libre software (sometimes referred to as "open source").

7PM Adverlytics

Adverlytics - a monthly meetup for NYC's community of analysts, optimizers, and data aficionados in tech and digital advertising. We will be hosting the event at Forum, and DoubleVerify is this month's sponsor. The party will be continuing on through the Jets/Patriots Monday Night Football game and we'll be watching on the big screen!

Tuesday, December 7th

6:30PM Sales School: How to Build a Sales Machine with Hubspot & Huffington Post

Topics:
An intimate look how Hubspot and The Huffington Post apply process and science to sales to build a sales machine that drives consistent and predictable revenue.
How to build science into lead generation, scoring and routing.
#How to build a sales training machine.

Tuesday + Wednesday

TEDxTribecaWomen

A live webcast and series of events built around the TEDWomen conference. For those of us who cannot attend the conference in DC, we hope you'll join us here at the Tipping Point Workspace on December 7th and 8th to watch the conference live and celebrate women who are shaping the future.

Wednesday, December 8th

6PM Lean Startup Meetup: Customer Development Workshop

Putting theory to practice is the hardest part of any Lean Startup; and figuring out how to apply these principles to your particular business is a creative process as well as an intellectual one. This workshop is designed to facilitate collaboration and brainstorming to arrive at specific, actionable customer development and go-to-market strategies for your business.

If you run an early stage startup and want to validate your model quickly and effectively, you shan't want to miss this one!

6:30PM NY Gaming Critics Roundtable

This month, the NY Gaming Meetup is partnering with the NY Videogame Critics' Circle, which represents some of the most well-known and successful critics in the industry, to host a conversational roundtable on the state of the gaming industry. Panelists will chat about their favorite games, what makes a good game, finding a career in the industry, how to pitch them your game and other topics. Panelists include:

Evan Narcisse, TIME Techland
Tracey John, UGO
Stu Horvath, New York Daily News
Russ Frushtick, MTV Multiplayer
Harold Goldberg, G4TV.com

7PM Viral Medai Meetup: Private Going Viral

The theme of this meetup is "Viral Going Private." Our presenters will talk about traditionally private arenas (i.e. SMS and venture capital) that have significant viral elements. Lauren Leto and Jared Hecht will present on how they were able to lend viral components to their products, which center on private SMS exchanges. Eric Wiesen will discuss how the VC business is viral.

7PM Finding the Story in the Data with Usability Expert Whitney Quesenbery

User research can delve into the human issues revealed in analytics. And analytics can give us a broader view of the behavior behind observations in user research. Whitney Quesenbery will share stories from case studies at the Open University, National Cancer institute and other projects that triangulated between analytics and qualitative research to understand the user experience.

Thursday, December 9th

Friday, December 10th

7PM Blip.tv Holiday Party

I never know which holiday parties are public and which aren't--and if you're smart, you'll just follow the crowds on Foursquare.  However, since it seems like 1,000 people got invited to this one, what's a few more RSVPs, right?

Saturday, December 11th

3PM Eyebeam Holiday Mixer

All-ages, year-end party with hands-on workshops, demonstrations, interactive art, music, performances, DIY gifts, raffle, and competitive cocktail mixology featuring Eyebeam's fellows and residents!  Hmm... I wonder if the competitive cocktail mixology is for all ages as well?  Perhaps the creative interns should show up to this one.
