Meet Adam, founder of a mentoring organization called Tagai in NYC. He's a StartingBloc Fellow (NY Institute, 2010) and is hosting an event at Revival Bar in Union Square on July 7. (I've been to Revival and it's a great place to hang out!)
Happy schmoozing,
Katharine

I (Adam Winski) am the co-founder and director of Tagai which is a cultural exchange program matching a broad array of young professionals with recently immigrated high school students. We strive to pair those of like mind but unlike culture with an aim towards opening up new worlds for all participants.
Mentors and students spend time exploring New York City with an eye towards helping students explore their current interests and discover new ones. This year we also had the privilege of visiting Acumen Fund's headquarters, TED's headquarters and helping JR fulfill his TED Wish by doing a large group action for the Inside Out Project.
This coming year, we will be expanding into a second school, the Brooklyn International High School and are seeking curious and driven people such as yourselves to join our growing ranks.
To find out more, please join us:
Thursday, July 7th at 7:00PM
Revival (129 E. 15th Street, between 3rd and Irving).
Hope to see y'all there!
Adam
After college, I attended a lot of networking events in NYC as part of my job search. Now that I have a job, I still like to share what I’ve learn about great events. I think you'll agree that the "right events get you the right jobs," so I hope this blog is helpful. Email me if you know about a cool networking even: I’m kbierce (at) gmail dot com. Although I can’t attend everything, I love learning more about what’s new. A calendar of NYC events is at the bottom of this page.
This blog is about how the right networking events can help you find the right job (or jobs!) for you.
