March 24 concert for microfinance at Lincoln Center

Just heard about this from Women Advancing Microfinance, NY chapter.  It's a great concert for a great cause!

Pro Mujer is a women's development and microfinance organization that provides Latin America's poorest women with the means to build livelihoods for themselves and futures for their families through microfinance, business training, and healthcare support. During its 20 year history, Pro Mujer has disbursed more than $885 million in loans impacting the lives of more than 1 million women and more than 5 million children in Argentina, Bolivia, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Peru.

On Thursday, March 24th at 7pm, Pro Mujer is celebrating 20 years of empowering women in Latin America with a concert event at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center featuring the Philharmonic of the Americas. This unique concert will be conducted by Alondra De La Parra.  Alondra has gained wide-spread attention for her spellbinding and vibrant performances making her one of the most compelling conductors of our generation. She is the first Mexican woman to conduct in New York City and the official Cultural Ambassador for Mexican Tourism.
