Volunteering Event with Obama for America in NYC, Sun 2/27

OK, so this is a bit off topic from the usual networking posts, but I think this event looks really cool and should be a good forum to both make a difference in the local community AND meet great people (esp. if you're an Obama fan).

In order to help those friends and neighbors who have fallen on hard times, Obama for America volunteers will gather every Sunday -- starting this weekend, on February 27th -- at the Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter's basement kitchen. We'll cook, serve, and share brunch with the shelter's 65 residents.

I'm excited to take part in this kind of work -- will you join us?

When: Every Sunday, starting February 27th
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
