High Water Women Panel on Microfinance Volunteerism
Date: Monday, November 14, 2011
Time: 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Location: Reed Smith, 599 Lexington Ave. (52nd St)
Register to attend now.
Please come to meet High Water Women's newest microfinance partner WomensTrust, an MFI operating in Ghana, with a strong social mission that has been organically built from the ground up and combines girls’ education and healthcare in an original and comprehensive approach to poverty alleviation, empowerment, and financial access. This is an unusual opportunity to hear from the founder Dana Dakin and executive director Wilma Longdon and ask questions.
High Water Women volunteers are currently working with WomensTrust and also with Contactar in Colombia on pro bono assignments. They will speak about how their work will help enhance governance and risk management, and facilitate access to the capital markets as both groups look to expand their footprint.
