New York for Acumen would like to invite you to our upcoming ACUMEN FELLOWS EVENT SERIES on September 13th, 15th, 16th and 18th.
The 2010 Acumen Fund Fellows have just returned from their 9-month field placements in India, Pakistan, Kenya, and Tanzania, and we've planned a week of exciting events to connect the Fellows to the NYC community! Space is limited, so please RSVP/buy your tickets ASAP to reserve your spot! For questions, please contact Ramil Ibrahim (ribrahim@acumenfund.org).

"Lessons from the Field: INDIA" - Monday, Sept 13 (6-8:30pm)
Cost: FREE - Click here to RSVP!
Held at NYU Stern, "Lessons from the Field: INDIA" will feature our Fellows returning from India. They will give short presentations about their work in healthcare and energy, and then lead interactive breakout sessions. This event is open to all, including those not affiliated with NYU.

"Lessons from the Field: AFRICA" - Wednesday, Sept 15 (6:30-10pm)
Cost: $20 - Click here to buy your ticket!

"Lessons from the Field: PAKISTAN" - Thursday, Sept 16 (6:30-10pm)
Cost: $20 - Click here to buy your ticket!
The AFRICA and PAKISTAN events will both follow a different, more informal format. They will be discussion-based events where our Pakistan/Africa Fellows will talk briefly about their experiences, followed by a candid conversation about the challenges of fieldwork and other region-specific topics. In trying to keep this an intimate event, they will be hosted in the homes of our community members. We are asking for a $20 contribution to cover the cost of snacks and beverages with additional proceeds benefiting Acumen Fund.

Angel Africa Social Enterprise Conference - Saturday, Sept 18 (9am-5pm)
Cost: $65/$80 (student/professional) - Click here to learn more...
This conference will highlight both the investment climate in Southern Africa and showcase the latest economic developments that make this region a stand-out location for investment and entrepreneurship. Angel Africa will feature two Acumen Fellows as panelists to discuss Zimbabwean development and sustainable energy in Africa.
Thank you for supporting the Acumen Fund Fellows and NYfA. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!

Sincerely,
Nina & Rabia
