2011 Debates - Bloomberg TV and NPR

I just got this email from a friend who's involved in producing some major interesting policy debates, so though this isn't technically a networking event, I just wanted to share the info.  Let me know if you're interested in discounted tickets and maybe I can put you in touch with Laura - just leave a comment.
Cheers,

As many of you already know, I work for a public policy debate series called Intelligence Squared U.S.  We bring in leading authorities to debate (live) timely and provocative topics.  Bloomberg Television and NPR broadcast our debates the following week.  Our debates are held at the NYU Skirball Center for Performing Arts from 6:45 – 8:30pm.

Below is our spring series featuring Arianna Huffington, David Brooks, P.J. O’Rourke and more.  While it is entertaining to watch or listen to the debates from the comforts of your home, I must say it is exhilarating to attend in person.  It is a participatory debate for audience members: vote which team wins the motion, ask a question of a debater, and give your opinion on the motion to a Bloomberg camera and see yourself on television the following week.

If any of the following topics catch your fancy, let me know.

Wishing you infinite success for 2011!
