I met some great people at a Catchafire.org event a few months ago. If you're interested in web-based service/philanthropy, check this out!
Happy networking,

Panelists Charles Best, founder and Executive Director of DonorsChoose.org—the citizen philanthropy platform for schools; Pankaj Shah, founder of Tonic—a media company that creates and aggregates socially relevant content; Rachael Chong, founder and CEO of Catchafire—the world’s first scalable pro bono service platform, will explore philanthropy and service on the Web. Participants will discuss how new platforms are evolving traditional models of giving, helping us discover new causes and fundamentally changing the way we relate and contribute to the issues we care about.
After college, I attended a lot of networking events in NYC as part of my job search. Now that I have a job, I still like to share what I’ve learn about great events. I think you'll agree that the "right events get you the right jobs," so I hope this blog is helpful. Email me if you know about a cool networking even: I’m kbierce (at) gmail dot com. Although I can’t attend everything, I love learning more about what’s new. A calendar of NYC events is at the bottom of this page.
This blog is about how the right networking events can help you find the right job (or jobs!) for you.
