6:30PM Breaking the Software Death Cycle with Domain Driven Design
We were standing in front of 7-figure deals, as long as we could transform the desktop application into an Enterprise-ready system. We focused exclusively on solving technical problems of scale and failed.
After a year worth of work it brought the company to a halt, lead to the first year of non-growth and put the software in a death cycle. Half of the company was laid off. Scrum and DDD were introduced and lead to a new level of enthusiasm and market success. Today, our workdays are like 8 tantric hours with Sting--glorious. We give credit for a successful transformation to DDD. We'll discuss how our transformation was triggered and how DDD was scaled gradually to a team of 50 engineers.
